Acts 2 Verse 38
Acts 2:38 [KJV])Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.
Before continuing further, I must ask these two questions and hope you answer them both with an honest heart. "Who hung on the cross?" and "Who is the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost/Spirit?”. After you finish reading this Topic, the name for these two questions should be the same.
(Matt 28:18-20 [KJV])And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth.Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you always, [even] unto the end of the world. Most people today forget to realize Jesus was born under the Law, raised under the Law, worship under the Law, and died under the Law as a Jew. His Ministry reflected the practices and understanding of the Law of two thousand years ago. Where today’s confusion comes from is when we apply today’s standards to ones of two thousand years ago.
One of these practices of two thousand years ago in the Mikvah or water submersion baptism while today’s baptism is sprinkling of water over one’s head. Sprinkling of water is “NOT Being Buried” in water and is not supported in the Bible. I ask you to find sprinkling of water on a person’s head in the Bible. This concept is man’s doctrine! "Mikvah" - (f., pl. "Mikvaot"); a ritual pool of water, used for the purpose of attaining ritual purity. Immersion in a Mikvah is performed for the following main purposes: It is used in connection with Repentance, to remove the impurity of sin. It is also used in connection with Conversion, because the convert has taken upon himself or herself to adopt the lifestyle of the Jew that is based on the recognition of G-d as King of the Universe and on the obligation to perform the commandments of the Torah.
As for Mathew 28:19, this form of baptism is only given just once in the Bible while the Book of Acts reflects many more examples of Baptizing in Jesus name. Also, in the Old Testament reflects type and shadows od submersion form of baptism for Salvation. I did research on why this fact is so and I found this verse Mathew 28:19 was changed by Eusebius. (Please also refer to “The Writings of Eusebius” on my Home page).
The writings of Eusebius (He is covered in greater detail in another topic), the Bishop of Caesarea (also called Eusebius Pamphylius) provide a unique study in the beginning of the Church. He is called the father of Church History due to his extensive writings on the subject. These writings are still widely published and read. In all, there are some nine writings we wish to examine. The reason for this examination being primarily due to the way he rendered Matthew 28:19. Within his writings it is found in three forms.
Form 1. "Go disciple ye all the nations" (7 times)
Form 2. "Go disciple ye all the nations in my name" (17 times)
Form 3. The traditional form, or Textus Receptus, KJV (5 times)
Notice Form 1 and Form 2 has a total of 24 times while Form 3, the Traditional form has a total of 5 times. I did further research and found that the Traditional form reflected the Early Church’s new Trinity Doctrine. This new Trinity Doctrine came about the second and third century. The Trinity became official Early Church Doctrine during and after the writings of the Council of Nicea in 325Ad
Before Eusebius was convinced by death or excommunication, and by the facts I understand, I can conclude Mathew 28:19 used to say.

If the above two baptism examples are performed today, then Mathew 28:19 would be in one accord with the rest of the Bible.
I want to make this concept a little clearer. If I found this formula is being published today 1+2+2+2+2+2+2+2+2+2=20, then what is wrong with it? Notice the”1” in the beginning of this equation. This is the exact example given in today’s Bible except it is in numbers instead of verses. If the present form of Mathew 28:19 be changed or corrected reflecting the real early churches, then this verse would be in one accord with the baptisms in the Book of Acts. Now the this formula, 2+2+2+2+2+2+2+2+2+2=20 is in one accord with the Gospel and is sound and valid. In conclusion, the above two baptism examples were performed today then Mathew 28: 19 would be in one accord with the rest of the Bible.
This concept is important. I want to share it again.

If this verse is corrected from 1 to 2 as it was in the first century, then this formula, 2+2+2+2+2+2+2+2+2+2=20 is in one accord with the Gospel and is sound and valid.
I found more verses supporting my logical argument in baptizing in Jesus’ name according to Acts 2:38!
