Why Baptize in Jesus Christ?

(Rom 6:23 [KJV])For the wages of sin [is] death; but the gift of God [is] eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.

Jesus Himself spoke the next verse below. The very next verse confirmed that very promise and the third verse completes our salvation removing from spiritual death to a one of  being alive with Jesus Christ..(Acts 1:5 [KJV])For John truly baptized with water; but ye shall be baptized with the Holy Ghost not many days hence.

(Acts 2:38 [KJV])Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.

(Rom 6:3-11 [KJV]) Know ye not, that so many of us as were baptized into Jesus Christ were baptized into his death? Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life. For if we have been planted together in the likeness of his death, we shall be also [in the likeness] of [his] resurrection: Knowing this, that our old man is crucified with [him], that the body of sin might be destroyed, that henceforth we should not serve sin.For he that is dead is freed from sin.Now if we be dead with Christ, we believe that we shall also live with him:Knowing that Christ being raised from the dead dieth no more; death hath no more dominion over him.For in that he died, he died unto sin once: but in that he liveth, he liveth unto God.Likewise reckon ye also yourselves to be dead indeed unto sin, but alive unto God through Jesus Christ our Lord.

Note: This promise is so good, I had to include another verse bearing a second withness to this wonderful promise!

(Acts 11:16 [KJV])Then remembered I the word of the Lord, how that he said, John indeed baptized with water; but ye shall be baptized with the Holy Ghost.

Baptizm in the name of Jesus Christ with true faith and
you will become His Child of God!

(Rom 8:14-16 [KJV]) For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God. For ye have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear; but ye have received the Spirit of adoption, whereby we cry, Abba, Father. The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God:

(Gal 4:4-7 [KJV]) But when the fullness of the time was come, God sent forth his Son, made of a woman, made under the law, To redeem them that were under the law, that we might receive the adoption of sons. And because ye are sons, God hath sent forth the Spirit of his Son into your hearts, crying, Abba, Father. Wherefore thou art no more a servant, but a son; and if a son, then an heir of God through Christ.

These are more examples baptizing in Jesus Christ, Lord Jesus, and name of the Lord!

(Acts8:12-17[KJV])But when they believed Philip preaching the things concerning the kingdom of God, and the name of Jesus Christ, they were baptized, both men and women. Then Simon himself believed also: and when he was baptized, he continued with Philip, and wondered, beholding the miracles and signs which were done. Now when the apostles which were at Jerusalem heard that Samaria had received the word of God, they sent unto them Peter and John:Who, when they were come down, prayed for them, that they might receive the Holy Ghost:(For as yet he was fallen upon none of them: only they were baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus.)Then laid they[their]hands on them, and they received the Holy Ghost.

(Acts 10:47-48 [KJV])Can any man forbid water, that these should not be baptized, which have received the Holy Ghost as well as we? And he commanded them to be baptized in the name of the Lord. Then prayed they him to tarry certain days.

(Acts 19:3-5 [KJV])And he said unto them, Unto what then were ye baptized? And they said, Unto John's baptism. Then said Paul, John verily baptized with the baptism of repentance, saying unto the people, that they should believe on him which should come after him, that is, on Christ Jesus. When they heard[this], they were baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus.

(Acts 22:16 [KJV])And now why tarriest thou? arise, and be baptized, and wash away thy sins, calling on the name of the Lord.

(Rom 6:3 [KJV])Know ye not, that so many of us as were baptized into Jesus Christ were baptized into his death?

(Gal 3:26-29 [KJV])For ye are all the children of God by faith in Christ Jesus. For as many of you as have been baptized into Christ have put on Christ. There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither bond nor free, there is neither male nor female: for ye are all one in Christ Jesus. And if ye[be]Christ's, then are ye Abraham's seed, and heirs according to the promise.

God baptize the Hebrew Nation when they crossed the Red Sea. They were save by going into the water and came  out the other side.

(1Cor 10:2 [KJV])And were all baptized unto Moses in the cloud and in the sea;

(1Cor 10:1-4 [KJV])Moreover, brethren, I would not that ye should be ignorant, how that all our fathers were under the cloud, and all passed through the sea;And were all baptized unto Moses in the cloud and in the sea;And did all eat the same spiritual meat; And did all drink the same spiritual drink: for they drank of that spiritual Rock that followed them: and that Rock was Christ.

I have many comments on the following verse. Please review my Topic Acts 2:38 as a refresher on the verse Mathew 28:19. If you followed the topics in order from Top to bottom, you should know sin could not touch God because the penalty of sin is death. According to God’s own Laws, if He touched sin, He would surely die. To cover sin and pay for the penalty of death, something had to die and the shedding of blood had to cover that sin.

The very first example of blood covering sin and something had to die is when Adam and Eve sinned, God had to covered their sinful bodies with dead animal skins, (Gen 3:21 [KJV])Unto Adam also and to his wife did the LORD God make coats of skins, and clothed them.

In order To be baptized, a person must also be buried, one must die. In Mathew 28:19, God the Father and God the Holy Spirit had to die. That is very impossible. In order for the God the Son to die, the Holy Spirit had to leave Him, That is why He Cried in “(Matt 27:46 [KJV]) And about the ninth hour Jesus cried with a loud voice, saying, Eli, Eli, lama sabachthani? that is to say, My God, my God, why hast thou forsaken me?”.

I must ask this question, “How many times the Triune formula is used in the Bible?” I will ask another question, “How many times to baptize in Jesus Christ, Lord Jesus, In Christ is used in the Bible?”. I think you intelligent enough to answer those questions yourself. I do not have to elaborate which one had to the most times.

(Matt 28:18-19 [KJV])And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth.Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:

This is the proper use baptizing instead of the using three separate names of God!

(Luke 24:46-48 [KJV])And said unto them, Thus it is written, and thus it behoved Christ to suffer, and to rise from the dead the third day:And that repentance and remission of sins should be preached in his name among all nations, beginning at Jerusalem. And ye are witnesses of these things.

In conclusion, on why we must be baptized in Jesus Christ is to collectively become many members of one body, His Bride. We as all believers die with Jesus, we rise with Jesus, we will become His children where we cry “Abba, Father” in one accord.

(1Cor 12:13 [KJV])For by one Spirit are we all baptized into one body, whether [we be] Jews or Gentiles, whether [we be] bond or free; and have been all made to drink into one Spirit. (Note: we only have one Holy Spirit!)
